Refunds, Cancellations & Disputes
Overview
This page explains how refunds, cancellations, and payment disputes work for everything sold on TheAppThat. It is part of, and consistent with, Section 7 (Payment Terms) of our Terms of Service. All prices on TheAppThat are in US Dollars (USD), and card payments are processed by Stripe through its secure hosted checkout pages - we never collect or store your card details.
Unless otherwise stated on this page or required by applicable law, payments are final and non-refundable.
Platform Credit Packs
Platform credits ("Coins") are prepaid credits delivered to your wallet immediately after purchase. Because delivery is instant, credit pack purchases are final once the credits are delivered, except where a refund is required by law or the purchase was made in error and the credits are unspent - email us promptly at support@email.theappthat.com and we will review it.
Patron Subscriptions
Patron subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel at any time from your Patron settings inside the app, or by emailing support@email.theappthat.com with "Cancel subscription" in the subject line.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep your Patron benefits until then.
- No further charges are made after cancellation takes effect.
- Partial-period refunds are not provided unless required by law.
Marketplace Purchases
Marketplace listings are offered by other members. TheAppThat facilitates these transactions but is not a party to the agreement between buyer and seller (Terms of Service ยง7.3). If an order goes wrong - not delivered, not as described - contact the seller first, and if that doesn't resolve it, email support@email.theappthat.com with the order details and we will review the transaction.
Event Tickets
Tickets to member-hosted events can be refunded through the refund request flow on the event inside the app, subject to the event's stated terms. If an event is canceled by its host, ticket holders are refunded. For anything else, email support@email.theappthat.com.
EU/EEA Consumers - Right of Withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase in accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), unless you have expressly consented to the supply of digital content before the end of the withdrawal period and acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal.
Payment Disputes
If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us first at support@email.theappthat.com - most billing issues are resolved fastest that way, and contacting us does not affect any rights you have with your card issuer. Disputes raised with your bank or card network are handled through our payment processors, and we respond to them with the transaction records for your purchase.
